Miguel Ángel Sánchez.

He is dedicated to directing and producing audiovisual content, primarily documentaries. He works on pressing humanitarian and environmental issues in Mexico and the rest of the world. Currently, he directs documentary series for platforms and develops projects that intersect with interactive and immersive experiences.

About.

 

He studied at the National School of Film Arts of UNAM. His career includes directing documentary series for platforms. In 2022, he was selected to participate in Berlinale Talents, and in 2023, he won the Mastercard Enablement Programme at the same event. That same year, his project ATL was selected to be part of WORLDING, a documentary incubation workshop at the MIT Open Documentary Lab. Additionally, he took part in the intensive documentary training program IDFAcademy. As a producer, he has contributed to the success of films such as “The Dove and the Wolf,” directed by Carlos Lenin, which premiered and was awarded at the Locarno Film Festival, winning the Silver Puma at FICUNAM and the First Mexico Prize at the Los Cabos Film Festival. He also produces “Strong Together” directed by Tania Claudia Castillo, which received the Sundance Institute Fund for post-production. ​

La Paloma y el Lobo

Displaced by the violence that swept their town, Paloma and Lobo survive trying to love each other. Through thirst, fear and nostalgia, Paloma wishes to go back home but Lobo lives tied to a memory that stops him from returning.
